Senior Software Quality Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily share information;
- Verify bugs and reproduce the field issues;
- Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, with little direction;
- Significant contributor to organisational goals and objectives;
- Develop, design & execute test cases;
- Work in a distributed-team environment using Agile methodologies;
- Adhere to quality assurance metrics, like defect leakage and open defect counts;
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback;
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools;
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements;
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases;
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved;
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs;
- Prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities;
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
Requirements:

- BS or MS Computer Science with 5-8 years of hands-on file system experience and/ or any other file protocols;
