Sr. QA Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sr. QA Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Automation team members to understand automation progress and take ownership of analysing any failures are there;
- Identify, analyse, and document defects using JIRA;
- Experience in testing on iPhone, iPad and Android devices;
- To be responsible for effectively converting US into manual/Automation test cases for WEB and Mobile apps as per the coding standards;
- Help other team members on writing and reviewing test cases and provide sufficient help for any blocker;
- Perform manual Smoke, Acceptance, Functional, Regression, UI, Usability, System, Integration and Exploratory testing;
- Knowledge of database, SQL;
- Run Compatibility Testing (cross Windows/ Mac and Android/ iOS platforms, cross browsers, cross mobile devices – phones, tablets, iPads etc);
- Certified as ready for release to Production follow all necessary test phases and meet the pre-agreed quality standards;
- Knowledge of API , how it works and what response codes and body of response API gives;
- Knowledge of network calls made by apps;
- Actively participate in regular QA team meetings to discuss SQA testing process and suggest improvements to the application design and features;
- Writing and updating test cases in TestRail;
- Responsible for creation, design and execution of test strategies, including writing test plans, Test cases and test scenarios;
- Hands-on experience on mobile software quality testing.
Requirements:
- Device Testing;
- Develop automated regression test suites using automated testing tools;
- Excellent problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills;
- Review tools implementations and encourage best practices and sound design principles while remaining practical and deadline driven;
- Expert ability to concepts of unit, system, regression, product, integration and acceptance testing;
- Advanced knowledge of system development lifecycle, methodology and testing knowledge;
- Knowledge of Automation tools will be an added advantage;
- Ensure test plans thoroughly cover all requirements and use cases;
- Write test plans and test cases throughout the development lifecycle;
- EXFO The Evolution of RAN;
- Manage defect tracking, monitor and report results;
- Network Emulation;
- 3+ Years of solid manual testing and mobile testing experience;
- BE(CS/IT) is preferred;
- Plan, schedule and perform manual and automated software tests.
