Sr Engineer – Triage Automation Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sr Engineer – Triage Automation to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and maintain automated test plans;
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to understand changes made to the software under test;
- Perform troubleshooting efforts for identified bugs;
- Work closely with development and test teams to ensure streamlined delivery of software from dev to staging to production;
- Run performance and scalability tests in a highly distributed micro-service environment;
- Write testing tools to mock certain interfaces as well as creating simulators to replicate real-world scenarios;
- Software integration of distributed embedded system and cloud-based environment, triage and root cause analysis of software issues.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process;
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent required;
- 3 – 5+ years of experience in software development or testing;
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus;
- Reliable, self-motivated, critical thinker with strong initiative and a strong technical background;
- Experience in shell scripting and python;
- Experience in Hardware/Networking Protocols;
- Experience in Java programming and Android;
- Experience in software design and development of Linux-based systems;
- Experience in C++ programming;
- Avionics or In Flight Entertainment (IFE) experience is a plus.
