Quant, Trade Surveillance Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Quant, Trade Surveillance to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Providing enhancements in Compliance Surveillance through hands on analytics and application of data science techniques;
- Engaging with stakeholders within Compliance Surveillance – coming up with novel approaches to problem solving;
- Working with Corporate Technology and front office systems representatives on target state design decisions and technology enablement;
- Build and maintain analytical tools including reports, sandbox environments for scenario analysis for Trade Surveillance product leads and analysts;
- Carry out modelling and predictive analysis to improve market abuse scenarios, reduce false positives.
Requirements:
- Experience working in solving complex data problems using time series analysis, visualisation techniques;
- Product background in investment banking with understanding of common financial products;
- Strong SQL knowledge, knowledge of NoSQL databases is useful;
- Background on Machine Learning useful and its applicability to Surveillance;
- Strong Python programming knowledge with proven track record of using numerical/ data science packages for project delivery;
- Previous experience in decision analysis modelling would be useful;
- Strong mathematical/statistical/computer science fundamentals, being able to logically construct and apply a model from first principles.
