UI Designer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a UI Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to create, edit and design videos;
- Design and conduct user interviews, focus group discussions and usability tests;
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks;
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering;
- Work closely with the product team to understand user behavior, look at product analytics and come up with data-driven designs;
- Continually keep yourself and your design team updated with the latest changes in your industry’s standards;
- Establish a consistent brand and creative designs;
- Research about global trends, best practices and new techniques in design and regularly present it to the team;
- Understand the requirement of each apps and web, develop an unique UI based on the target audience;
- Make sure you will deliver high quality and more optimised graphics;
- Be a great team player, experienced in working with agile teams. Ability to collaborate closely with developers, copywriters and UX designers;
- Collect feedback from project managers and adjust the approach to cater to criteria;
- Build sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes to outline structure;
- Develop design solutions for various platforms;
- Preparing UI assets for the product development team.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of design experience;
- Photoshop;
- Good experience in User-Interface design;
- Prior experience in managing Web 2.0 portals will be an asset;
- Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc;
- UI Designer should have minimum 6 months or 1 year experience;
- Any degree OR Diploma;
- Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 Javascript;
- Modest understanding of how creative files get translated into front-end production files;
- In-depth knowledge of the capabilities of IE8-IE10, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome Solid knowledge of DOM manipulation;
- Should be proficient with design tools like Sketch, XD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and other similar design tools;
- Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically, Fireworks, Photoshop, and Illustrator;
- Ability to use web prototyping tools such as AXURE RP, Adobe XP, Sketch, Zeplin, etc;
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process;
- Ability to work effectively with team management.
