Senior Associate – Data Processing Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Associate – Data Processing to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, recommend and implement process efficiencies;
- Act as a buddy and assist more junior members of the team;
- Take ownership by handling cases, tracking timelines and actions throughout the process;
- Able to meet timelines and turn around completed cases to meet service level agreements without compromising on quality;
- Maintain a record of and report progress as the need arises;
- Analyze documents/information received and assess additional steps required to complete KYC as per procedures;
- Communicate with quality check team and team lead to resolve escalated issues as needed;
- Assess client legal hierarchy and the ‘Know Your Client’ (KYC) documentation required as per policy and procedures;
- Build relationship memos as the need arises for relationship managers;
- Able to identify red flags and judge the need for a critical issue;
- Strive for quality and continuously improve based on feedback and lessons learned;
- Document observations and ensure this is adequate for quality checks and audits;
- Screening customers using tools such as Lexis/Nexis, World Check etc.
Requirements:
- B.Com/M.Com with good domain knowledge;
- Advanced Communication;
- Ability to seek and act on feedback;
- Proficient in both written and spoken English;
- Proficient comprehension skills;
- Influencing skills;
- Ability to work in large teams;
- Should be able to adjust quickly to different work situations; remain composed under pressure and stressful situations;
- Working knowledge of MS Excel;
- Strong focus on quality along with an ability to read, understand and enforce to procedures;
- Problem Solving and Decision Making;
- Relevant experience in Capital Markets or Bank AML and / or KYC experience;
- Strong research skills along with previous experience working for a research or data provider;
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum 70% marks or a minimum GPA of 3;
- Understanding of Capital Markets Business.
