Analyst, Corporate Actuarial Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Analyst, Corporate Actuarial to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Projects: Managing SPARTA (internal reserving tool) development, exploring new tools to be used for reporting and analytics, Analytics lab, C-Site;
- Pricing including development of pricing tools, price monitoring;
- Assisting in responding to management queries and concerns; resolving issues promptly;
- Manage quarterly / monthly / yearly financial MI reporting;
- Monthly Incurred & Large Loss report, Segment Actual vs Expected;
- Manage Quarter Close process along with Reporting;
- Ownership of data required for all kinds of actuarial analysis along with audit & control checks;
- Reserving for complex general insurance lines of business;
- Corporate Projects, GLT, Cash Flows Analysis, PDR Analysis, Budget Planning, Actuarial Transformation Project (EE), etc.
Requirements:
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong computer application skills, specifically Excel, Access and Visual Basic Application;
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment;
- Superior analytical, research and problem-solving skills;
- Keen attention to detail;
- University Graduate (B.E/B.Tech/CS/IT) with minimum 60% and above;
- 3+ years of experience in IT/ITES ;
- Undergraduate degree and at least 5-6 CT Series Exams;
- Good working knowledge of SQL and VBA is a mandate;
- Advanced mathematical / financial / statistical aptitude;
- Good working knowledge of actuarial reserving/pricing software.
