Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics;
  • Schedules and attends one-on-ones with direct reports, with regularity determined by the expressed needs of direct reports;
  • Experience of managing teams of Sr. Engineers, Lead engineers and coaching, mentoring while maintaining a hands-on role;
  • Lead cross-functional and geographically distributed Teams;
  • Responsible for new hire training and smooth transition into teams;

  • Proactively facilitates schedules, procures, and technical training for teams and individuals;
  • Work closely with design, operations, engineering and testing teams in an agile environment to launch products and ensure seamless delivery on time;
  • Communicate technical expertise, stay current and communicate best practices within their technical discipline;
  • Oversees the daily operation of one or more engineering teams;
  • Energetic individual with enthusiasm to learn new tools, technologies & processes;
  • Work with the team to ensure sufficient processes and tools are in place to meet the requirements of the business and customers;
  • Updates with new technology trends and constantly and adopts them to improve the games;
  • Provides reasonable task and project effort estimates. 7.Ensures timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production;
  • Coach, mentor and provide regular & timely feedback to direct reports.

Requirements:

  • Flexibility and an ability to work in a matrix and dynamic environment;
  • Demonstrated development team building and people management skills;
  • 3+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams (5+) that are responsible for large scale, high volume websites;
  • Facilitating and driving key technology decisions with senior technology stakeholders;
  • Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns;
  • Attracting, retaining and building top notch full stack engineering talent;
  • Be a mentor, technical leader and thought leader for a talented team of both front end and back end engineers, challenging them and helping them grow;
  • BS/MS in Computer Science with 8+ years of working experience;
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done;
  • Experience coding in one of the following Java, React or related coding languages;
  • Over 3 years of experience building and managing diverse and global 12+ person teams that design and deliver the software product;
  • Over 3 years of experience operating a complex system that is highly reliable;
  • Driven Player/Coach who’s been successful hiring and developing software engineers to become high performing engineers;
  • Hands on experience in Designing, Coding and release management;
  • Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
