Engineer – IT Global Infrastructure Network & Telecom Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Engineer – IT Global Infrastructure Network & Telecom to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all new network, telecom and unified communications services are delivered to the business with the right service levels;
- Plan and develop capacity planning roadmap;
- Manage the contracts, relationships and performance of the global carrier(s);
- Ensure that all network, telecom and unified communications investments are managed through their full economic life cycle to optimize its value;
- Ensure that the system design balances functional, service quality and systems management requirements;
- Specify and design complex network, telecom and unified communications systems;
- Coordinates with and enable the IT services operational and support teams to perform pre-defined standard adds, moves, and changes;
- Create and maintain overall network, telecom and unified communications plans to support the organization’s business strategy;
- Expert in the management and monitoring of a network from centralized location;
- Manage all risks associated with the testing and take preventative action when any risks become unacceptable;
- Contribute to the policy for selection of architecture components;
- Making sure of having a single view of global network, telecom and unified communications systems;
- Coordinate with regional team members for circuit management, payments, etc;
- Coordinate with global carrier & service provider members for setting up clear process to handle trouble tickets, payments, complains etc.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge in the design, implementation and operation of Cisco networking and IPT technologies;
- Experience managing cloud/hybrid infrastructures;
- University degree in IT or related field;
- 3 years’ experience in IT programs/projects;
- Multiple Cisco certifications within the networking, VOIP and collaboration technologies;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure global network, telecom and unified communications systems;
- Microsoft certifications within the collaboration and networking technologies.
