KPMG - Kafka Developer - ServiceNow ITOM

Role Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled Kafka Developer with deep expertise in ServiceNow ITOM to join our engineering team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining robust, event-driven data pipelines that bridge the gap between complex cloud infrastructure and ServiceNow's IT Operations Management suite. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional DevOps and SRE teams to ensure seamless event ingestion, processing, and correlation, directly impacting the stability and observability of our enterprise-grade services. By building scalable integration layers, you will empower our stakeholders to achieve real-time visibility into infrastructure health, ultimately driving faster incident resolution and operational excellence across the organization.Key Responsibilities : - Design and implement high-throughput Kafka clusters to facilitate real-time event streaming between distributed cloud environments and ServiceNow ITOM.- Develop custom integration scripts and connectors to map infrastructure events into actionable ServiceNow alerts, ensuring accurate incident management.- Optimize event-driven architectures to reduce latency and improve data reliability for critical monitoring workflows.- Partner with infrastructure teams to troubleshoot data flow bottlenecks, ensuring high availability and performance of the event pipeline.- Maintain comprehensive documentation for integration patterns and data schemas to support long-term system scalability and knowledge sharing.Required Skills & Experience : Core Technical Expertise : - Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM (Event Management mandatory).- Strong hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka (cluster setup, configuration, operations).- Experience in event-driven architecture and real-time data streaming.Integration & Development : - Experience building integrations using Webhooks, REST APIs, IntegrationHub.- Ability to develop integration components using Python / Java (preferred) or equivalent scripting.Kafka & Streaming Ecosystem : - Strong Experience in defining and building Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups.- Strong Experience in defining and building Kafka Connect and connectors.- Strong Experience in defining and building Schema management (Avro/Protobuf) (good to have).- Strong Experience in defining and building Producers and Subscribers for Kafka topics.- Experience in real-time event processing and transformation.ServiceNow ITOM Capabilities : - Strong knowledge of event ingestion, alert lifecycle, correlation.- Strong knowledge of CMDB, Service Mapping, and CSDM alignment.- Experience in event tuning and operational optimization.Monitoring & Observability Integration : - Proven experience integrating with tools such as Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Azure Monitor, Aternity, ThousandEyes.Cloud & Platform : - Exposure to Kubernetes / Docker deployments.- Exposure to Cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
