About the job

We are looking for a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) graduate to join our Mumbai team as a Junior Architect. This role combines architectural working drawings in AutoCAD with building energy modeling and analysis for residential and commercial projects in the United States.

A major part of the role involves developing complete drawing packages for residential, retail, and commercial projects, including site plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), elevations, architectural details, and coordinated MEP drawings. You will also be trained to use specialized energy-modeling software to analyze building performance and identify ways to improve energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Architectural Working Drawings
1. Prepare detailed architectural working drawings in AutoCAD for US projects.
2. Develop complete drawing packages, including site plans, floor plans, RCPs, elevations, details, and coordinated MEP drawings.
3. Review plans, sections, schedules, specifications, and internal markups.
4. Coordinate architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
5. Identify missing, inconsistent, or conflicting information.
6. Revise drawings accurately and maintain organized project files.

B. Building Energy Modeling and Analysis
1. Review architectural and building-system drawings for information affecting energy performance.
2. Develop energy models for residential and commercial buildings using specialized software.
3. Analyze building envelope, HVAC, lighting, domestic hot water, and other relevant systems.
4. Run energy simulations and compare design alternatives.
5. Identify practical ways to improve building energy efficiency.
6. Prepare energy-compliance documentation and supporting reports.
7. Coordinate with the team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience preparing architectural working drawings

3. Experience with RCPs, elevations, details, or MEP-coordinated drawing sets

4. Knowledge of SketchUp

5. Familiarity with HVAC, lighting, plumbing, or electrical systems
