Job Description – Junior HR Executive (Generalist)

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of HR documentation, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, HRMS, compliance, and be proficient in  Advanced Excel and  AI-powered productivity tools to improve HR efficiency and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations

• Manage employee onboarding and joining formalities.
• Collect, verify, and maintain employee documentation.
• Prepare HR letters and other employee-related documents.
• Maintain employee records and update HRMS accurately.
• Handle end-to-end Background Verification (BGV) processes.
• Maintain attendance and leave records.
• Utilize AI tools to streamline HR documentation, reporting, and routine administrative tasks.

Employee Lifecycle

• Support employee confirmations, resignations, exit formalities, and Full & Final (F&F) documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth HR operations.
• Resolve day-to-day employee HR queries.

Compliance & Reporting

• Maintain employee compliance records and track pending documents.
• Prepare HR reports, dashboards, trackers, and MIS using Advanced Excel.
• Ensure HR documentation is complete and compliant with company policies.
• Analyze HR data and generate insights to support decision-making.

Requirements

Required Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, IF formulas, Data Validation, basic dashboards, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Word and Google Sheets.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or similar) for documentation, drafting, reporting, and productivity enhancement.
• Strong documentation, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or MBA/PGDM in Human Resources.
• 1–2 years of experience in HR Operations or an HR Generalist role.
• Freshers with relevant internships, strong HR fundamentals,  excellent Excel skills, and familiarity with AI tools may also be considered.
