Job Description : Role : Product Manager Cloud Platform (IaaS & PaaS Services)Role Summary : The Product Manager Cloud Platform is responsible for defining, building, and managing Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings within a private, public, or sovereign cloud environment. The role owns the product vision, roadmap, service lifecycle, customer experience, business outcomes, and adoption strategy while working closely with engineering, architecture, operations, security, compliance, sales, and customers.Key Responsibilities : Vision & Strategy : - Define and own the multi-year roadmap, vision, and lifecycle management for IaaS and PaaS offerings.Portfolio Ownership : - Manage diverse IaaS infrastructure including Virtual Machines, Bare Metal, Networking, Storage, Backup, Kubernetes, and GPU/AI resources.Platform Services : - Oversee PaaS offerings such as Managed Kubernetes, DBaaS, Messaging, API Gateways, and Observability platforms.Requirements Definition : - Translate customer, business, and regulatory needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.Customer Advocacy : - Act as the voice of the customer by engaging directly with enterprise and regulated clients through workshops and executive discussions.Governance & Compliance : - Ensure platform adherence to security standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS) and data sovereignty requirements.Security Integration : - Drive security-by-design principles across all cloud infrastructure and platform services in collaboration with risk and security teams.Agile Management : - Own and prioritize the product backlog, define MVPs, and lead sprint planning and release management.Commercial Strategy : - Develop pricing models, build business cases, monitor profitability, and track customer adoption metrics.Presales & Partnerships : - Support sales teams by contributing to RFPs, proposals, product positioning, and customer solutioning.Analytics & KPIs : - Define and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate platform utilization and measure overall success.Continuous Improvement : - Analyze market trends, track competitor offerings, and drive ongoing service innovation and feedback loops.Required Qualifications : Education : - Masters degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.- Product Management certification preferred.Experience : - 815 years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Product Management.- 5+ years of Product Management experience for cloud or platform products.- Experience managing enterprise-grade IaaS and PaaS platforms.- Experience working with cloud technologies and modern platform ecosystems.Technical Expertise : - Strong understanding of : Cloud Computing Concepts, Private, Public, Hybrid, and Sovereign Cloud, Kubernetes and Container Platforms, OpenStack, VMware, or Hyperscaler Technologies, Infrastructure Automation, CI/CD and DevOps Practices, Networking, Storage, Compute Virtualization, Observability and Monitoring Platforms, Security and Compliance Frameworks, API and Platform Ecosystems.Preferred Technologies : - OpenStack, Kubernetes, VMware Cloud Foundation, Rancher/OpenShift, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab/Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, ServiceNow, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.Key Competencies : - Product Vision & Strategy, Customer-Centric Thinking, Cloud Platform Expertise, Analytical & Data-Driven Decision Making, Stakeholder Management, Executive Communication, Agile Product Management, Commercial Acumen, Cross-functional Leadership, Problem Solving & Innovation.
