May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) role encompasses automation development and execution, functional, and non-functional testing. The SDET role specializes in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. Partners with team members to understand software requirements and execute automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirementsYour Primary Responsibilities :- Apply different software development and testing methodologies, tools, and technologies- Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the delivery lifecycle- Maintain traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scripts- Identify dependencies for environmental and data requirements.- Develop applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional requirements- Follow design and code standards, contributing to continuous improvement discussions- Align risk and control processes into day-to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately- Create and maintain system documentation- Support senior team members to implement solutions using software delivery best practices- Work with peers to mature ways of working, contributing to continuous testing within the software delivery processes and integrate automated test with CI/CD pipeline- Partner with team members to understand software requirements and design automated tests that validate the functionality- Collaborate with internal and external teams on development, testing, troubleshooting, and improve overall software quality- Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriatelyQualifications :- Minimum of 4 years of related experience- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceTalents Needed for Success :- Hands On experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc. Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.- Strong experience with automated testing and test-driven development- Detailed understanding of smoke testing, functional, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testing- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques, including unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing- Expert and hands on with backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate for API testing. JDBC/JPA for database testing (Oracle/ DB2/ Snowflake).- Experience in Software Development- Proficiency in programming language (Java & Python)- Knowledge of Databases and SQL preferred.- Experience in writing sophisticated SQL queries.- Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination.- Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
