Swasthya Swaraj is a not-for-profit organization that came into being as a response to the inequalities in health existing in the tribal-dominated Block of Kalahandi district. It was the result of the search for the last mile by a small group of passionate healthcare professionals and their determination to make an end to this inequality. We are working in 80 tribal-dominated villages, from 11 Gram Panchayats of Kalahandi.

Swasthya Swaraj provides comprehensive healthcare services and community empowerment programs in 80 tribal-dominant villages drawn from 11 GPs. Swasthya Swaraj is deeply rooted in the community and works with and for the community in those villages.

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site Junior Accountant role located in Bhawanipatna.
The Junior Accountant will be responsible of the following:
Issue of timely donation receipts to Donors
Scrutiny of procurement process documents, invoices, and similar relevant documents
Scrutiny of advance settlements and maintenance of advance register
Processing timely payments, tally entries, voucher filing and issue of payslips to staffs
Assisting the chief accountant in Reconciliations, Reporting, Auditing, Donor Compliances and Statutory Compliances
Bank works and Filing of all relevant documents
Monthly field visits to health centres for review and updating of financial records

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP) and MS Excel
Bachelor's degree in commerce
Strong organizational and time-management skills

Desirables:

Conceptual clarity on accounting concepts, conventions, and standards with 1-2 years of work experience in similar area (Freshers may also apply).
Sound knowledge on auditing and statutory compliances.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Well-disciplined with willingness to learn.

Compensation:

The compensation will be in between Rs.10000 - Rs.20000 per month as per the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
