Our company is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Occasionally provide some pre- and post-sales technical support directly and through COMSOL’s support team;
  • Expand sales of COMSOL Multiphysics software in academics;
  • Some travel required (~10%);
  • Present COMSOL’s capabilities and its use at public seminars, customer-site presentations, on-line meetings and professional conferences;
  • Develop new and existing leads through phone calls and presentations;
  • Guide customers with implementation of our product in their application;
  • Prepare and present product demonstrations – involves programming in JavaScript;
  • Negotiating and following up with customers to close the sale;
  • Coordinating with the software development team on customer requirements & feedback;
  • Interacting with customers to understand their requirements.

Requirements:

  • Industry;
  • Masters (preferred) in engineering, physical sciences, or life sciences;
  • Excellent time-management skills – balancing multiple demands from many prospects;
  • Excellent communications skills, in person, on the phone and in writing. Strong public speaking skills;
  • Positive, upbeat, outgoing personality. Business acumen;
  • Experience of sales/business development in the EMS sector;
  • Strategy / Management Consulting Firms;
  • Good negotiation skills;
  • Able to work as part of wide and varied team;
