junior system administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a junior system administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide live chat support;
- Identification of various server issues and act according to the guidelines;
- Carry out tasks under the supervision of mentor;
- Provide basic customer support through ticketing system;
- Monitor severs and networks and escalate to the corresponding department;
- Documentation of issues.
Requirements:
- Good understanding about usage and purpose of Firewalls;
- Willingness to share your knowledge with your colleagues;
- Good Knowledge on Web server, Mail server, DNS, FTP, SSH ( Thorough knowledge on Apache and DNS will fetch you the job);
- General knowledge of Networking, Hardware, software;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- The ability to respond effectively under pressure;
- Creative thinking and ability to ‘think outside the box’ are ESSENTIAL;
- Ability to handle English language as if it is your first language;
