DevOps Software Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a DevOps Software Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Devops, automation and L3 monitoring and support APAC and EMEA regions;
- Develop good working relationship with stakeholders in multiple regions;
- Accelerate the move of our applications to the strategic tools platform, including automation and monitoring;
- Works well as a team member within technology and other disciplines (creative, delivery management, etc.) on large projects;
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test and production environments;
- Continuously improve the efficiency and productivity of the development team;
- Work on multiple projects across several teams concurrently.
Requirements:
- Application developer with Knowledge of J2EE and Powershell;
- Advanced SQL developer with experience of stored procedures;
- Strong Linux and Windows knowledge and shell scripting experience;
- Experience with MSSQL, DB2, Oracle and other databases preferred;
- Strong experience with GIT/Stash, Bitbucket and Jenkins administration and deployment skills experience;
- Advanced experience with Ant, Maven, nAnt, Shell, Perl, Chef for script automation;
- Development exposure to JS and Python;
- Experience with Atlassian tools like Bamboo, Jira, Confluence;
- Experience with applications servers such as WebSphere, .Net and Tomcat;
- Experience in the financial services industry or Document Management;
- Experience in Cloud computing/virtualization technologies and services, such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure etc;
- Application Builder with expertise in Configuration management using Puppet, Ansible.
