Our company is looking for a civil project manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations;
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues;
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies;
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements;
  • Hire contractors & other staff and allocate responsibilities;
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities;
  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics, etc. and guide them when needed;
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications projects;
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports;
  • Plan all construction operations & schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements:

  • MBA is an added advantage (not mandatory);
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage;
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles;
  • Familiarity with quality, health and safety standards;
  • A team player with leadership abilities;
  • BE / ME in engineering, building science or relevant field;
  • Ability to manage Workforce;
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software;
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills;
  • Proven experience as a construction project manager / Engineer.
