Job Title: AI Full Stack Engineer

Role Description

• Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration

• You’ll be a seasoned software engineer with 5+ years of experience , joining a team of enthusiastic individuals striving to innovate, design, and build solutions that meet comprehensive requirements. You’ll be familiar with SDLC and Agile practices , able to translate requirements into technical solutions while communicating effectively both within and outside your team. You’ll have strong development skills, be familiar with IDEs and development toolsets, and contribute through code reviews to identify inaccuracies efficiently. Additionally, you’ll help team members and serve as a role model with potential exposure to team leadership .

Your key responsibilities

Responsibilities

• AI Solution Development: Design, develop, and implement AI-powered applications and services using Python, FastAPI/Flask, and Google VertexAI.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Develop and maintain semantic search capabilities using retrieval‑augmented approaches for enterprise documents; Enable contextual and accurate information retrieval from unstructured data sources.

• Adhere and promote best practises and standards. Drive the code reviews, coding standards and mentoring junior members.

• Collaborate closely with team members, QA, and product partners to deliver agreed features

• Support CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices

• Ensure solutions comply with security, risk, and compliance requirements

• Document code, technical designs, and operational procedures where required

Your skills and experience

Must Have

• 5+ years of proven experience in an AI Engineer role, demonstrating successful application of AI techniques to solve real-world problems.

• Strong proficiency in Python (with libraries like scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy) and experience with web frameworks like FastAPI or Flask for building APIs.

• AI/ML Platforms: Hands-on experience with the Google VertexAI platform.

• Large Language Models (LLMs): Demonstrated experience working with and fine-tuning LLMs, particularly the Gemini Model.

  • Strong experience in front-end technologies (React JS).

  • Good knowledge of Linux, understanding of containers and cloud solutions

  • Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization of large applications (including Oracle databases).

  • Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mojito) and automated testing tools.

  • Experience with Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes for containerized deployments.

  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization concepts, OAUTH2, Spring security, API Management.

  • Experience on cloud native hosting resources (OpenShift, GCP GKE, Cloud Run Functions, Networking VPCs)

  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such a Gradle, Maven, GitHub Actions.

  • Basic understanding of Unix/Linux commands.

  • Good understanding of Swagger, and JSON.

Desirable

• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and organization skills. Team player, with strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate at all levels. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong understanding of Agile Practices
