Senior Compliance Accountant

Position : Senior Compliance Accountant
Qualification : CA Inter
Experience : 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or trading industry. 
Location : Calicut
Salary : 8 Lacs

Responsibilities: 
• Ensure timely compliance with statutory, regulatory, VAT, customs, and trade requirements across the GCC, China, and other operating countries. 
• Maintain a compliance calendar, statutory documentation, and filing schedules while monitoring changes in laws and regulations. 
• Coordinate with consultants, auditors, and government authorities and support internal/external audits. 
• Review logistics jobs to ensure accurate revenue, billing, supplier costs, and operational expenses before job closure. 
• Identify and investigate revenue leakage, billing omissions, duplicate costs, pricing deviations, and profitability gaps. 
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained to prevent statutory claim rejections. 
• Conduct periodic internal compliance reviews, report policy violations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. 
• Support import/export trading companies in meeting legal, customs, VAT, and regulatory requirements. 
• Prepare monthly compliance reports, shipment-wise profitability analysis, and KPI reports for management and track and report compliance exceptions, policy deviations, revenue leakage, and profitability performance.
