Description:Shift time: till 12PM CST (US Central time)Role Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Synon Developer (CA 2E) to design, develop, and maintain critical business applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform. In this role, you will work on model-based development, translating business needs into robust technical solutions while ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.Key Responsibilities:- Application Development: Design, develop, and test applications using Synon/2E (CA 2E), RPG/RPGLE, and CL.- Maintenance & Support: Provide end-to-end production support, troubleshoot issues, and enhance legacy systems.- Technical Analysis: Conduct impact analysis and modify existing models and generated code as required.- Documentation: Prepare low-level design documents (LLDs), technical specifications, and system documentation.- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, functional teams, and global/offshore teams to deliver high-quality solutions.Required Skills & Qualifications:- Experience: 7 - 10+ years of hands-on experience in Synon/2E (CA 2E) and IBM i (AS/400) environments.- Programming Expertise: Strong proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, and CL.- Database Knowledge: Experience with DB2/400 and SQL.- Tools: Familiarity with change management tools such as Implementer or Aldon/ACMS.- Domain Exposure: Experience in Retail, Finance, or Pharmacy Claims domains is a plus.- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex production challenges.Preferred Skills (good-to-have):- Experience with modern IDEs like RDi or VS Code.- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall development methodologies.
