Engineering Manager - Full Stack Platform

Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager Full Stack Platform to lead high-performing engineering teams in building scalable, customer-facing digital products.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in full-stack development, modern cloud technologies, and distributed systems, along with proven experience in engineering leadership, Agile delivery, and people management.This role requires a balance of hands-on technical guidance, architectural decision-making, and strategic execution to deliver high-quality software products.Key Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor multiple full-stack engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence.- Drive the end-to-end delivery of customer-facing web and platform applications with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.- Own engineering execution, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, release planning, and delivery management using Agile methodologies.- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.- Define and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, design patterns, and development processes.- Review system architecture, application design, and technical solutions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and security.- Guide teams in building microservices-based applications using modern backend technologies.- Drive cloud-native application development leveraging AWS services and container orchestration platforms.- Establish CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing, and monitoring to improve engineering productivity.- Ensure high standards of code quality through code reviews, static code analysis, and automated quality gates.- Identify technical debt and create roadmaps for platform modernization and continuous improvement.- Monitor engineering metrics, productivity, and delivery KPIs to improve team performance.- Recruit, mentor, coach, and retain engineering talent while conducting regular performance reviews and career development discussions.- Collaborate with leadership to define engineering strategy, technology roadmap, and platform evolution.- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance product capabilities.Required Technical Skills : 1. Frontend Technologies : - Strong expertise in React.js and Angular.- Experience developing responsive, component-based web applications.- Deep understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.- Experience with frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization.2. Backend Technologies : - Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.- Expertise in Java and Spring Boot.- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API integration.3. Cloud & DevOps : - Strong experience with AWS cloud services.- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native deployments.4. Database & Integration : - Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.- Knowledge of distributed caching and messaging systems.- Experience integrating third-party APIs and enterprise platforms.5. Architecture : - Experience designing scalable, high-availability distributed systems.- Understanding of event-driven architecture and microservices.- Knowledge of security best practices, authentication, and authorization frameworks.Leadership Requirements : - Proven experience managing engineering teams of 1030+ developers.- Strong people management, mentoring, coaching, and team-building skills.- Experience leading cross-functional Agile teams.- Ability to balance technical leadership with delivery ownership.- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Experience working in product-based organizations or high-growth technology companies.- Exposure to SaaS platforms and enterprise-scale applications.- Experience implementing DevSecOps and engineering governance.- Knowledge of observability tools, monitoring, logging, and application performance management.- AWS and Kubernetes certifications are an added advantage.
