Sales Engineer

* Should have experience in selling industrial engineering products, equipment, water treatment solutions, chemicals, boilers, cooling towers, HVAC systems, instrumentation and related services.

* Should have sound technical and commercial knowledge with the ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.

* Will have to work as a team and contribute towards increasing sales as per the company's business goals.

* Should be responsible for lead generation, customer visits, product presentations, technical discussions, demonstrations, estimation, preparation of quotations and closing of sales for the products/services assigned.

* Should be responsible for customer service, order management, coordination with technical/service teams, payment collections and after-sales support.

* Meeting sales and collection targets in the assigned territory and being responsible for the overall business performance of the product group assigned.

* Should be reporting to the Managing Director and coordinating with other sales and technical team members.

* Preparing technical and commercial proposals, quotations, cost estimates and product documentation based on customer requirements.

* Should have knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes, plant utilities and equipment with the ability to understand applications and identify suitable solutions.

* Ability to conduct commercial negotiations with good techno-commercial skills and close orders profitably.

* Good command over spoken and written English and Tamil.

* Maintaining good relationships with existing customers and conducting customer presentations, product awareness programs and technical meetings.

* Visiting customers regularly to identify new requirements, repeat business, cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.

* Participating in pre-sales activities, site inspections, troubleshooting and technical discussions in coordination with the service/technical team.

* Coordinating with the internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely execution of orders and resolution of customer requirements.

* Should be willing to undertake field travel and regularly visit industrial customers, manufacturing plants and project sites.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering
• 1-3 years experience in Industrial sales, preferably in power tools, Pneumatic tools & hand tools
• Fluent in English (mandatory), Tamil - Read/Write/Speak
• To be based in below locations - Chennai
• Ability to Travel & Meet Peoples regularly 
• Basic IT system knowledge, email communication, CRM & Quotation preparation
