Senior Java Developer

Position Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with 6–8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Java fundamentals, microservices architecture, API development, unit testing, and enterprise application development. The candidate will work closely with architects, QA, DevOps, and business teams to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and maintain Microservices-based applications following industry best practices.
Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs.
Implement business logic, validations, exception handling, and API integrations.
Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable Java code.
Develop unit and integration test cases using JUnit and Mockito.
Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and design standards.
Work with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, architects, and business teams.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Support application deployment and production issue resolution.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required Skills:

6–8 years of strong experience in Java development.
Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOPs, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java 8+ features.
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
Strong experience in Microservices architecture.
Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Good understanding of methods, status codes, JSON, API validation, and exception handling.
Hands-on experience with JUnit and Mockito for unit testing.
Good understanding of Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate/JPA.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Experience with Git and Maven/Gradle.
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
