Staff Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the agentic layer of the AI-native Product Operations Platform.
• Design production-grade AI systems, reusable platform capabilities, and reliable execution patterns.
• Develop agentic AI capabilities using RAG architectures, embeddings, vector retrieval, orchestration, and workflow state management.
• Create harnesses for prompt testing, agent debugging, workflow replay, evaluation, regression testing, tracing, and controlled experimentation.
• Build and maintain graph-based workflows with multi-step reasoning, tool calling, branching, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and stateful execution.
• Establish standards, patterns, and guardrails for scalable, reliable, observable AI development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience, including 2–3 years focused on AI development harnesses such as test harnesses, evaluation pipelines, workflow replay tools, tracing, observability, and prompt or agent regression testing.
• Experience building and deploying production agentic AI systems, RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector retrieval systems.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, orchestration patterns, agent workflows, graph-based execution models, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails.
• Practical understanding of agentic loops involving planning, retrieval, tool execution, validation, retries, reflection, and termination criteria.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on software engineering experience with FastAPI, NextJS, and Postgres is preferred.
• Experience designing AI systems for low cost, high throughput, extensibility, observability, and long-term scalability is preferred.
