Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Executive to join our team in Gandhinagar, India. In this pivotal role, you'll lead and inspire a housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. As a Housekeeping Executive, you'll be the driving force behind creating welcoming, immaculate environments that exceed guest expectations while fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our guests' experiences through exceptional operational management and leadership.

• Conduct daily briefings and team huddles to communicate priorities, expectations, and performance goals to housekeeping staff
• Supervise, mentor, and motivate team members to ensure consistent execution of all housekeeping tasks and procedures
• Maintain rigorous cleanliness standards across guest rooms, balconies, corridors, linen rooms, and housekeeping pantries in accordance with organizational protocols
• Oversee the inspection and quality control of public areas to ensure they meet established standards
• Manage guest supply replenishment and respond promptly to guest requests and special requirements
• Address and resolve reports of room damage or equipment malfunctions with efficiency and professionalism
• Conduct regular room inspections and checklists to verify compliance with quality standards
• Maintain accurate and detailed section floor reports and room status documentation
• Monitor equipment maintenance and ensure all housekeeping tools and supplies are kept in optimal condition
• Report unusual behavior, safety concerns, or activities on assigned floors to the Executive Housekeeper
• Assist in evaluating team member attendance, performance, and professional development
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of hotel fire safety, life safety, and emergency procedures
• Attend all assigned briefings, meetings, and training sessions to stay current with best practices
• Establish and maintain positive, professional working relationships with team members and other departments
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support organizational objectives

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a housekeeping executive or similar supervisory capacity within the hospitality industry
• Strong oral and written proficiency in English
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and motivate diverse teams
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Knowledge of hospitality standards, procedures, and best practices
• Familiarity with fire safety and emergency procedures
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
• Customer service orientation with a commitment to guest satisfaction
• Physical stamina and ability to perform regular floor inspections
• Proficiency in inventory management and supply coordination
• Ability to work flexibly, including varied shifts and weekend availability
• Multilingual abilities and basic understanding of local languages (preferred)
• Proven track record of maintaining high personal standards of appearance and hygiene
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an inclusive and collaborative approach

Additional Information

3–4 years of experience in Housekeeping within a midscale or branded hotel.

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management or an equivalent qualification.
