We are looking for an experienced  Senior Data Integration Engineer to design, develop, and support robust data integration solutions that enable the reliable movement of financial and operational data across complex enterprise systems.

The role requires strong expertise in  ETL/ELT, SQL, data pipelines, batch processing, data transformation, reconciliation, and data quality . You will play a critical role in ensuring that business-critical data is accurately transformed, validated, and delivered to analytics platforms, downstream systems, and external partners.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and experience working with enterprise-scale data environments, particularly within financial services.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable  data integration and ETL/ELT solutions .
• Build reliable pipelines for extracting, transforming, validating, and delivering financial and operational data.
• Analyse source systems and develop accurate  source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and business logic .
• Develop automated processes for data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and file generation.
• Build and support scheduled  batch processing frameworks and recurring data pipelines .
• Implement data quality controls, reconciliation checks, exception management, and control-total validations.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Owners, vendors, and other stakeholders to understand integration requirements.
• Validate source data, file specifications, mapping requirements, transformation logic, and integration outputs.
• Support  System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployments, and post-deployment validation .
• Investigate data discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor production jobs, data pipelines, and time-sensitive data feeds to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot integration failures and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve production issues.
• Optimise data integration processes for  performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability .
• Create and maintain interface specifications, mapping documents, transformation documentation, and operational procedures.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support data governance, compliance, and control requirements.
• Contribute to Agile planning, technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 12+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, ETL/ELT, enterprise application integration, or a related technology domain.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and developing  data integration, ETL/ELT, batch processing, and scheduled data delivery solutions .
• Strong proficiency in  SQL and experience working with enterprise databases.
• Experience working with  file-based integrations, analytics platforms, and enterprise data systems .
• Proven ability to analyse complex source systems and create effective  source-to-target mappings and transformation rules .
• Strong understanding of data quality, reconciliation, validation, exception handling, and control-total processes.
• Experience supporting  SIT, UAT, production releases, deployment validation, and defect resolution .
• Strong production-support experience involving business-critical data pipelines and time-sensitive data feeds.
• Experience creating technical documentation including interface specifications, mappings, transformation logic, and operational procedures.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security controls, regulatory requirements, and audit considerations.
• Experience working with  financial services data such as brokerage, wealth management, banking, cash management, or deposit systems is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Owners, vendors, Scrum Masters, and engineering teams.
• Experience working in  Agile/Scrum development environments .
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage complex integration challenges independently.
• Bachelor's degree in  Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
