In this role, you will:

• Own day-to-day access management operations across key FC applications. Ensure access is granted and maintained on a least-privilege, need-to-know basis with appropriate approvals, segregation of duties controls, and in compliance with privacy rules and regulations.
• Ensure adherence to privacy principles within access processes and tooling. Maintain clear operational procedures, control evidence, and management information to demonstrate compliance with internal standards and external regulatory expectations.
• Support Audit / Assurance reviews, respond to findings, and drive timely remediation and sustainable fixes. Monitor and reduce access-related risk, escalating issues appropriately.
• Re-design end-to-end access journeys to reduce manual steps, turnaround time, and error rates. Deliver automation and AI-enabled capabilities in collaboration with the rest of the team.
• Establish measurable outcomes and track benefits realization. Lead, coach, and develop a multi-skilled team; set clear objectives, performance standards, and a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Build strong relationships with FC stakeholders, application owners and Technology teams, to interpret requirements and embed them into operational processes, while improving service outcomes. Communicate clearly to senior stakeholders on risk exposure, operational performance, and transformation progress, including trade-offs and decisions required.

• Reduced access provisioning lead time and improved colleague experience. Fewer audit findings and control exceptions.
• Increased automation rate and reduced manual touchpoints/cost-to-serve. Improved detection and remediation of anomalous or excessive access.
• High team engagement, capability uplift, and strong operational resilience.
• Seamless onboarding new applications and migrations from legacy systems.

To be successful you will:

• Significant experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations, access governance, or security operations within a regulated environment. Strong understanding of least privilege, RBAC/ABAC concepts, privileged access management, segregation of duty, and access recertification.
• Strong understanding of common privacy and data sharing principles. Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, and ability to influence across technology and business teams.
• Proven track record of process re-engineering and automation delivery (workflow/IAM tools). Experience working with Risk, Audit, Compliance, and Privacy stakeholders; comfortable evidencing controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organization and project governance skills.
• Experience implementing or operating IAM platforms. Familiarity with AI/ML use cases in operations and security (e.g., anomaly detection, intelligent triage) and associated governance.
• Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Any relevant security qualifications, such as CISSP, CISM, Security+ and / or privacy certification
• Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk dashboards/alerts) and basic data concepts (data lakes/big data/data fabric)
• Awareness of Financial Crime workflows and how access controls support them
• Agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban) and continuous improvement mindset (Lean/Six Sigma awareness)
