Software Test Engineer - Manual & Automation Testing

Key Responsibilities:- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing.- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.- Execute manual test cases and document test execution results.- Identify, log, track, and validate software defects using defect management tools.- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to resolve defects and improve software quality.- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger.- Validate application performance, usability, compatibility, and security from a testing perspective.- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated test suites into deployment processes.- Prepare test execution reports, quality metrics, and release readiness reports.- Ensure adherence to testing standards, quality processes, and best practices.Required Technical Skills:Manual Testing:- Functional, Integration, System, Regression, Smoke & Sanity, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).- Exploratory Testing (Good to have).- Defect Lifecycle Management (JIRA).Automation Testing:- Selenium WebDriver (Mandatory).- TestNG / JUnit, Cypress or Playwright, Appium, API Automation, Hybrid Automation Frameworks (Good to have).- Data-Driven and Keyword-Driven Frameworks (Mandatory).API Testing:- Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, REST API Testing, JSON/XML Validation.Defect & Test Management:- JIRA (Mandatory), Azure DevOps Test Plans, SPIRA (Optional).Preferred Skills:- Experience testing enterprise web and mobile applications, cloud-based applications (Azure/AWS), Agile/Scrum, performance testing, and security testing concepts.AI & Modern Testing Skills:- Exposure to AI-assisted test case generation, AI-powered tools (e.g., Copilot, mabl), prompt engineering, and LLM-based testing assistants.
