Workday Operational Consultant

Key Responsibilities : Workday Operations : - Provide day-to-day operational support for the Workday platform across HCM and related modules.- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and resolve functional and operational problems.- Configure and maintain Workday business processes, organizational structures, security roles, and system settings.- Perform routine system administration, data validation, and user access management.- Support Workday tenant management, including testing, maintenance, and release activities.Functional Support : - Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and recommend Workday solutions.- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.- Configure and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and notifications.- Assist with Workday releases by reviewing new features, assessing business impact, and implementing applicable enhancements.Incident & Change Management : - Investigate and resolve production issues in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs).- Manage service requests, incidents, and enhancement requests through ticketing systems.- Perform root cause analysis and recommend long-term solutions for recurring issues.- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate system changes before production deployment.Data Management & Compliance : - Ensure data integrity through regular audits and validation activities.- Support data loads using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and other Workday tools.- Maintain compliance with organizational security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.- Develop and maintain operational documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.Collaboration : - Collaborate with Workday technical teams, integration developers, and external vendors to resolve system issues.- Provide end-user support, training, and guidance on Workday functionality and best practices.- Participate in Workday implementation, enhancement, and optimization projects.Required Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.- 3+ years of experience supporting Workday in an operational or functional consulting role.- Strong understanding of Workday HCM and related business processes.- Experience configuring Workday business processes, security, reports, and calculated fields.- Experience supporting production environments and managing operational support activities.- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications : - Workday certification in HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Compensation, Learning, or another functional module.- Experience supporting multiple Workday modules.- Knowledge of Workday integrations, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Core Connectors.- Experience with Workday releases and tenant management.- Familiarity with ITIL service management processes.- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.Technical Skills : - Workday HCM- Workday Security Administration- Business Process Configuration- Report Writer- Calculated Fields- Dashboards- Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)- Core Connectors (preferred)- Workday Web Services (basic understanding)- Microsoft Excel- ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ticketing tools- Data validation and reportingSoft Skills : - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong stakeholder management and customer service orientation.- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.- Strong documentation and organizational skills.- Team collaboration and problem-solving mindset.Experience : - 3 to 7 years of Workday operational support or functional consulting experience.- Experience supporting HR, Payroll, Finance, or Talent business processes.- Experience working with enterprise HRIS systems and cross-functional teams.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) : - Timely resolution of incidents and service requests.- System availability and operational stability.- User satisfaction and service quality.- Accuracy of Workday configurations and reporting.- Successful implementation of system enhancements.- Compliance with SLAs and data governance standards.
