Technical Lead

Purpose of the Role :As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions while providing technical guidance to the development team and ensuring engineering best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, hands-on development experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.Key Responsibilities :- Technical Leadership : Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, high-quality software solutions. Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.- Solution Design : Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, estimate effort, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.- Development & Delivery : Actively contribute to software development, troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of assigned features and modules.- Team Mentorship : Mentor and guide developers through technical challenges, encourage knowledge sharing, support onboarding of new team members, and foster continuous learning within the team.- Project Collaboration : Work closely with Developers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Project Managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.- Quality & Continuous Improvement : Promote engineering excellence by driving code quality, automation, performance optimization, security best practices, and continuous process improvement.- Stakeholder Communication : Communicate technical progress, project risks, dependencies, and solution approaches effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.Working Relationships :Reporting To : Engineering Manager / Delivery Manager / Project ManagerInternal Stakeholders : Architects, Product Owners, Development Teams, QA Teams, DevOps Teams, Business AnalystsExternal Stakeholders : ClientsSkills / Competencies Required :Technical Skills :- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript.- Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise software applications.- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, Software Engineering principles, and coding best practices.- Experience with REST APIs, Microservices architecture, and distributed systems.- Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and modern application architecture.- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.- Experience in effort estimation, technical design discussions, and code reviews.- Exposure to AI, Data Engineering, Analytics, Cloud, or GenAI technologies will be an added advantage.Soft Skills :- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.- High ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Academic Qualifications & Experience Required :Educational Qualification :Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.Relevant Experience :- 4 - 6 years of overall software development experience.- Proven experience in designing and developing enterprise software applications.- Experience leading small technical teams or mentoring developers.- Strong hands-on coding experience with modern development frameworks and tools.- Experience in effort estimation, technical design discussions, and code reviews.- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.- Exposure to AI, Analytics, Data Engineering, Cloud, or GenAI projects will be an added advantage.Preferred Candidate Profile :- Strong technical expertise with a hands-on development approach.- Ability to lead technical discussions and provide practical solution recommendations.- Experience working directly with clients and business stakeholders.- Passion for mentoring team members and driving engineering excellence.- Strong ownership, learning mindset, and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.- Willingness to travel to customer locations based on project requirements.
