Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Factory Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact between local factories and the U.S. team. Ensure clear and timely communication regarding product development, production timelines, and quality standards.
• Production Oversight: Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery. Troubleshoot delays and resolve issues with Factories as they arise.
• Quality Control: Work with factories to implement and uphold quality standards. Conduct inline and final inspections to ensure products meet specifications in both development stage and production stage.
• Product Development:
  • Collaborate with New York design teams to translate concepts into executable products. Oversee sampling and development processes. Managing from request to delivery with precision.
  • Tackle development challenges with a solution first mind set.
  • Offer strategic input based on factory core competency to optimize cost, quality, and speed.
• Vendor Management:
  • • Identify, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
    • Work with vendors to achieve best pricing without sacrificing quality. Provide cost breakdowns and identify cost saving opportunities.
    • Have a strong understanding of factory capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses.
• Reporting & Documentation:
  • Provide regular updates to the New York office on production status, development milestones, and vendor performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of communication, product specs, and order tracking.
  • Including development tracking charts with detailed AWB numbers, sample quantities and any callouts regarding project.
• Compliance & Ethics: Ensure factory partners comply with ethical labor practices, environmental regulations, and any required certifications. Specifically for Walmart.
• Team Leadership: Manage any local office support staff or QC agents as needed. Foster a productive and collaborative work environment.

Required qualifications:

• Must have strong expertise in Home Textiles (including Table Linens, Kitchen Textiles, Scatter Rugs, Shower Curtains, and Bath Mats), deep knowledge of the local manufacturing landscape, and excellent management and sourcing skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Must have strong product knowledge.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Excellent follow-up and follow- through skills.
