ServiceNow Quality Assurance/Test Engineer

Job Description :We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow QA/Test Engineer with 5+ years of ServiceNow testing experience to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating ServiceNow platform implementations, enhancements, integrations, and upgrades with a primary focus on IT Operations Management (ITOM) modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).The candidate should have strong expertise in manual and automated testing using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), along with experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools. The role involves collaborating closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Functional Consultants, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure ServiceNow solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and platform best practices.The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, hands-on experience with enterprise ServiceNow implementations, and the ability to validate complex workflows, integrations, and ITOM processes in Agile development environments.Roles & Responsibilities : - Perform end-to-end testing of ServiceNow platform implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and integrations with a primary focus on IT Operations Management (ITOM) modules.- Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test cases covering ServiceNow ITOM functionalities, workflows, and integrations.- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) to improve testing efficiency, repeatability, and regression coverage.- Perform functional testing of Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB modules to ensure accurate configuration, data integrity, and business process compliance.- Validate Discovery schedules, MID Server configurations, CI identification, reconciliation rules, service maps, event correlation, alert processing, and CMDB relationships.- Test ServiceNow workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, notifications, catalog items, reports, dashboards, and approval processes.- Execute Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, End-to-End Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).- Perform API testing using Postman or similar API testing tools to validate REST and SOAP integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise applications.- Validate integrations involving Discovery, Event Management, monitoring tools, cloud platforms, infrastructure systems, and third-party enterprise applications.- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, Functional Consultants, Infrastructure Teams, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and define effective testing strategies.- Prepare detailed Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Test Data, Traceability Matrices, and Test Summary Reports.- Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects using JIRA or similar defect management tools while coordinating closely with development teams for timely resolution.- Re-test resolved defects, perform regression testing, and verify fixes before production deployment.- Support production deployments, release validation, platform upgrades, and post-deployment verification activities.- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.- Monitor testing progress, prepare quality metrics, test execution reports, defect summaries, and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.- Ensure all testing activities comply with ServiceNow implementation standards, governance policies, and organizational quality guidelines.- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow ITOM capabilities, platform releases, Automated Test Framework (ATF) enhancements, and QA best practices.
