Data Engineer (LBC)

Creating Passion: Your Responsibilities

• Create and maintain an optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet the functional/non-functional business requirements.
• Work with stakeholders including Executive, Product and Data teams to assist with data related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Design and implement data quality checks to ensure data integrity.
• Ensure consistency of data and processes in the data warehouse and lake houses along common principles like “single-source-of-truth”.
• Keep our data secure and well protected along with our data catalog strategy.
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality and efficiency in our data systems.

Contributing your strengths: your qualifications

Qualification and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Advanced experience in data engineering and data warehousing.
• 5-9 years of experience in implementing and managing ETL & data pipelines.
• A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experinec working with relational datbases.
• Advanced working knowledge in Databricks on Azure together with Unity Catalog.

Preferred Skills / Special Skills:

• Extensive experience and proficiency in Microsft SQL Server, SSIS, Databricks and PySpark/Python.
• Excellent collaboration skills tp work efficiently in a globally distributed team.
• Experience with other ETL tools is a real plus.
