Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Position Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, Scala, PySpark, Apache Spark, Hadoop, SQL, Azure Cloud, and Databricks, with hands-on experience building enterprise-grade data pipelines and big data solutions. The role involves working closely with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions that support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and optimize large-scale data pipelines using Python, Scala, and PySpark.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources.
• Develop scalable data processing applications using Apache Spark and Hadoop ecosystem technologies.
• Implement data engineering solutions on Azure Cloud platforms, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
• Leverage Databricks for data processing, analytics, and workflow orchestration.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations to support business requirements.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and processing jobs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver efficient data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Must-Have Skills:
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Big Data development.
• Strong programming experience in Python and Scala.
• Hands-on expertise in PySpark and Apache Spark for distributed data processing.
• Experience working with Hadoop ecosystem components.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services and data platforms.
• Experience developing and managing solutions using Databricks.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL frameworks, and big data architectures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Good to have.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with data modelling and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
• Azure or Databricks certifications are a plus.
