Associate Product Management Director - AI & Agentic Platform

About the Role

PubMatic is building the next generation of AI-powered products for digital advertising, including intelligent agents that help customers monitor marketplace performance, identify new opportunities, troubleshoot issues, make recommendations, and ultimately take action. We are looking for a highly technical and customer-oriented Product Manager to lead our Agentic Platform and AI strategy. This role will own the foundational capabilities that enable teams across PubMatic to rapidly build, evaluate, deploy, and operate production-grade AI agents, while also leading development of strategic customer-facing AI experiences. You will work at the intersection of Generative AI, agentic systems, advertising technology, data, and product experience, partnering closely with engineering, design, and commercial teams to turn emerging AI capabilities into scalable products that deliver measurable customer and business outcomes. 

What You'll Do:

• Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for PubMatic's shared AI and Agentic Platform, enabling teams across the company to build and operate production-grade AI agents.
• Own platform capabilities including agent orchestration, model and tool integration, context and knowledge management, evaluation frameworks, observability, governance, and reusable agent infrastructure.
• Lead the strategy and development of publisher- and marketplace-facing AI experiences that transform complex marketplace data into actionable intelligence.
• Define clear success metrics across AI quality, customer adoption, task completion, business impact, latency, reliability, and cost.
• Build rigorous evaluation methodologies combining offline evaluation, golden datasets, LLM-based evaluation, human review, experimentation, and production telemetry.
• Own the full product lifecycle from opportunity identification and product strategy through requirements, experimentation, launch, adoption, measurement, and iteration.

We'd Love for You to Have:

• 6 to 8+ years of Product Management experience, including 1-2 years of hands-on experience leading technically complex Agentic platforms and building AI agents in production.
• Strong understanding of modern AI application architecture, including concepts such as:
  1. LLMs and reasoning models
  2. Retrieval-Augmented Generation and knowledge systems
  3. Agent orchestration and tool use
  4. AI evaluation and experimentation
  5. Prompt and context engineering
  6.Observability and production monitoring
• Demonstrated ability to partner deeply with engineering and AI teams, making thoughtful products and technical trade-offs.
• Experience taking ambiguous, zero-to-one products from concept through production and measurable adoption.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to define metrics and evaluation frameworks for probabilistic AI systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical teams, customers, and senior leadership.
• Experience with advertising technology, programmatic advertising, and marketplaces is preferred.
• Experience building enterprise AI products where reliability, governance, privacy, security, and explainability are critical.
• Familiarity with agent interoperability standards and architectures such as MCP, agent-to-agent communication, structured tool calling, and multi-agent systems. 

Qualification:
Should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent degree from a well-known institute/university.
