Technical Data Modeller – Finance Data Platform (CL8/9) Platform: Databricks | Finance Data Platform
We are looking for an experienced Technical Data Modeller to design and implement robust, scalable, and finance-aligned data models supporting a modern Finance Data Platform on Databricks .
The role focuses on ensuring data integrity, consistency, performance, and usability across analytical and operational use cases.
Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for finance data domains
- Partner with Data Engineers and Architects to implement data models on Databricks
- Define and maintain data models, schemas, and data dictionaries aligned with finance business semantics
- Optimize data structures for high-performance querying and downstream analytics (Power BI, analytics workspaces, reporting layers)
- Support data quality design, validation, and reconciliation processes
- Ensure alignment with data governance, master data, and metadata management standards
- Collaborate with finance, analytics, and engineering stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data models
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Data Modelling (Conceptual, Logical & Physical) in large-scale finance or enterprise environments
- Proven experience implementing data models on Databricks / Lakehouse platforms
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Data Warehousing concepts , and Dimensional Modelling (Star / Snowflake schemas)
- Solid understanding of finance data structures, accounting principles, and financial reporting concepts
- Experience with data governance, master data management (MDM), and metadata management
