Role: Business Development Manager (AIF / Mutual Funds)
Experience: 7–8 Years
Location: Pan India (Focus: Maharashtra & Gujarat, South India, Kolkata)
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional with strong exposure to Mutual Funds and Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) . The role will focus on expanding distribution, managing regional relationships, and driving fund inflows across key markets in India.
Geographical Focus
Western Region: Mumbai, Pune, Gujarat
Additional Coverage: South India / Kolkata
Pan India exposure preferred
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Drive AUM growth for Mutual Funds and AIF products
Identify and onboard distributors, IFAs, wealth managers, and institutions
Expand presence in target cities across Maharashtra & Gujarat
Fund Raising & Investor Relations
Work on:
Inbound investments (offshore / NRI / global investors)
Outbound investments
Domestic fundraising
~ Engage with HNIs, Family Offices, and Institutional Investors
AIF / MF Strategy
Support launch and scaling of new AIF fund (Aikyam initiative)
Work with small & mid-sized AIF managers
Target AUM scale: ~$5 Million USD
Manage short-term fund cycles (~10-month fund horizon )
Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with:
Mutual Fund distributors
Regional wealth heads
Institutional partners
~ Act as Regional Manager (MF segment)
Required Skills
Strong understanding of:
Mutual Funds
AIF structures
Capital markets
Experience in regional fund distribution (Western India preferred)
Ability to handle investor conversations (HNIs / Institutions)
Fundraising & networking capabilities
Preferred Background
~7–8 years in:
- Mutual Funds / PMS / AIF
- Wealth Management / Asset Management
- Existing network in Mumbai, Pune, Gujarat markets
Key Targets
Build strong presence in Gujarat & Maharashtra
Scale AUM for new AIF fund
Expand distribution network across India
