Manual QA Engineer (Startup)

Ciklum is looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join our team full-time in India. We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. We are seeking a highly skilled Manual QA Engineer to drive quality engineering initiatives across complex, scalable systems in the financial technology domain. This is a key position in a high-impact agile environment, where you will be responsible for developing robust automated test strategies and ensuring software quality in enterprise-grade applications.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs using Java 11+, Spring Boot, and Spring WebFlux
Build, enhance, and support RESTful and SOAP services with robust data handling
Develop and maintain frontend components using JSF, ensuring a seamless user experience
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage deployments to servers like Tomcat, Netty, or Pivotal Cloud Foundry
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/SAFe environment, participating in PI planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Guide and mentor junior engineers to uphold quality and performance standards
7+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation

• Hands-on expertise with Java-based test automation, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, and RestAssured
• Strong knowledge of API testing tools and techniques (Postman, SoapUI, Insomnia)
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools like Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, or similar
• Proficiency in Core Java, Maven, and integrated development environments (e.g., Excellent understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., Familiarity with SAFe Agile or similar scaled agile frameworks
Knowledge of test coverage strategies and shift-left practices
