Partner with General Mills Solutions Architects, Infrastructure Engineers, Data Architects, Cyber Security Engineers and Analytics Engineers to architect, build and deploy sustainable, secure, reliable & resilient public cloud infrastructure & foundation to support General Mills’ Cloud Line of Business and Data & Analytics projects including associated standards, procedures & processes. Ultimately, the role ensures the cloud infrastructure effectively supports General Mills' strategic goals and enables its digital
transformation.

Team Management/Lead Functional Accountability
Leads and manages the team
Drives team career pathing and growth initiatives, providing mentorship and support to facilitate individual development and advancement.
Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of functional and technical deliverables.
Proactively support team member’s skill development to prepare them for the evolving needs of our AI-driven platform.
Leads initiatives in the Platform area

Lead Transformation/Innovation initiatives– Design, Plan, implement and support.
Own and lead deep dive for complex/Critical issues and ensure timely resolution.
Project Implementation
Work with project teams and vendors to provide platform design and optimization recommendations
Assist with project planning, execution, and implementation of platform related projects.
Drive optimization and innovation projects in Platform area suggesting novel solutions for the issues.
Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success

Lead initiatives to enhance platform reliability, availability, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Mentor and support platform engineers in optimizing and automating their workflows, including migration, provisioning, and deployment processes. Understand the vision of the business as well as IT Infra future technology and relate it with existing set up and prepare business case for adopting the same.
Plan the IT Infra Digital transformation and drive till execution

Experience or exposure to multiple knowledge proficiencies including:
Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and secure IT infrastructure across Windows/Linux environments.
Proven team management experience.
Provide leadership and management for a team, driving the achievement of functional goals.
Knowhow of automating infrastructure provisioning and management using Ansible/Salt.
Deep understanding of various storage architectures including SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), object storage, and cloud-based storage solutions.
Experience with different storage protocols including iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, SMB/CIFS, and object storage protocols.
Experience with storage virtualization technologies and good understanding of storage virtualization platforms like VMware vSAN, NetApp ONTAP, or similar solutions.
Proven ability to foster team member growth and career advancement.
Mentor team members in leveraging AI and new technologies to excel in the Platform area.
Proven experience in managing the recruitment and onboarding processes.
Co-ordinate with different enterprise vendors (Google, Harshi Corp, Microsoft etc.) & Proven track record of leading Enterprise scale infrastructure upgrades and migrations in the Platform & infrastructure area.
Basic knowledge on containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Good hands-on experience on observability and monitoring tools (SCOM, Datadog, etc.)
Proven ability to manage complex projects, troubleshoot critical issues, and ensure high availability.
Proficient in administering Windows Servers/ Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux) including OS installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
Administer and maintain our configuration management systems, including Salt Stack and Ansible.
Manage and maintain Red Hat Satellite, including upgrades, migrations, and integrations with cloud platforms.
Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to automate routine tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance infrastructure management.
Proven experience working in agile environments, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, training, and support. Experience managing projects and teams is desirable.
Experience implementing and maintaining security best practices across the infrastructure, including access control, vulnerability management, and security hardening.
Proficiency in at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP – specify which are required) including a deep understanding of their services and capabilities.
Experience on PowerShell Workflow Automation, network protocols (e.g., SAN, NAS, cloud storage) is beneficial
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
Mandatory Skills : Team Management, Windows /Linux Server Administration, Any Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Terraform, Scripting(PowerShell, Bash), Python, Observability, Automation Tools

Integration of Gen AI and Agentic AI capabilities into compute workloads, components etc.
Understanding of security best practices and compliance regulations related to AI in platform area.
Experience in integrating LLMs for tasks such as natural language processing of logs and automated documentation generation
Architecture approaches leveraging AI, for example: infrastructure with self-healing capabilities, using AI to automatically detect and remediate issues without human intervention.
Know-how of using AI agent for code maintenance
AI-driven automation, monitoring (anomaly detection, prediction, capacity planning) & troubleshooting experience.
Actively coaches and mentors’ junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering their professional growth. Proactively identifies and analyzes operational inefficiencies and technical challenges within the cloud infrastructure. Develops innovative solutions, tools, and strategies to improve cloud infrastructure efficiency, scalability, and security. Presents information and data in a manner appropriate for the audience
