Based in Mumbai, the candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring packaging materials for pharma formulations, catering to both domestic and international business requirements.
As part of the Supply Chain Management team, you will ensure uninterrupted material availability by managing procurement of all packaging and associated materials while monitoring supplier pricing, cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Lead vendor management activities, including strategic supplier relationship management to identify process improvements, cost-reduction opportunities, and long-term value creation.
Collaborate closely with vendors and the technical/inspection teams on sourcing decisions, contract negotiations, and procurement execution.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies, policies, and procedures while proactively mitigating business risks through appropriate risk-management approaches.
Support the Manager in sourcing strategies for key packaging materials such as corrugated boxes, cartons, bubble sheets, BOPP tapes, etc.
Stay updated on industry trends, market movements, and best procurement practices.
Monitor market dynamics and anticipate shifts in suppliers’ negotiating power.
Develop effective negotiation strategies and secure profitable long-term deals.
Analyse procurement costs and recommend methods to reduce overall expenditures.

Specialized knowledge in Packaging Materials Supply Chain or Materials Management.
Proven ability to manage sourcing projects within tight timelines while effectively engaging and influencing multiple stakeholders.
Strong experience in import procurement of packaging materials.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Proficiency in costing, procurement analytics, and contract management.
