Data Analyst Team Leader

Description : - We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Lead Data Analyst to join our team.- The ideal candidate will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that support decision making across business, marketing, and supply chain functions.- This role requires strong technical skills, a solid understanding of e-commerce and digital marketing metrics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Data Preparation & Quality Assurance : - Extract, clean, validate, and transform large analytical datasets from multiple internal and external sources.- Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness across reporting layers.- Identify data gaps, anomalies, and inconsistencies that may impact analysis or decision-making.Advanced Data Analysis & Insight Generation : - Conduct in-depth exploratory and diagnostic analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and root causes.- Perform cohort, funnel, segmentation, and variance analysis to explain business performance.- Build analytical models and frameworks to evaluate growth drivers, risks, and opportunities.Analytics-Driven Reporting & Visualization : - Design and develop insight-led dashboards and reports using Power BI (mandatory) and Looker Studio.- Focus on storytelling with data by highlighting drivers, deltas, and business implications rather than just metrics.- Business Problem Framing & Stakeholder Collaboration : - Partner with digital marketing, operations, and leadership teams to translate business questions into analytical hypotheses.- SQL-Driven Analytics & Data Warehousing : - Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for analytical use cases.- Build and manage analytical datasets in Google Big Query for reporting and deep-dive analysis.- KPI Definition, Measurement & Performance Analysis : - Define and standardize business and marketing KPIs aligned with strategic objectives.- Monitor performance trends, explain metric movements, and identify early warning signals.- Link primary KPIs with dependent metrics to provide a complete performance narrative.Experimentation, Impact Measurement & Optimization : - Measure the impact of campaigns, promotions, and initiatives using pre-/post analysis and A/B testing frameworks.- Automation & Analytical Scalability : - Automate recurring analyses and reporting workflows to improve efficiency and turnaround time.- Build scalable analytical processes that reduce manual effort and improve reliability.Strategic & Executive Decision Support : - Work closely with management and vertical heads to conduct deep-dive and ad-hoc analyses on critical business topics.- Support high-impact business decisions through scenario analysis, trade-off evaluation, and data-backed recommendations.Qualification : - 4 to 5 years of experience in Data Analytics, preferably within e-commerce or digital marketing.- 1 to 2 years of experience in handling a team.- Strong understanding of e-commerce metrics, funnels, and digital marketing analytics/Amazon marketing analytics.- Proficient in SQL, Advanced Excel, and Google BigQuery.- Hands-on experience with Power BI(Mandatory), Tableau or Looker Studio for reporting and dashboarding.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, especially digital marketing.- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
