Job Description & Duties
Key responsibilities include:
Installing and configuring Linux operating systems on servers and computers.
Setting up hardware and software environments to meet the organisation's needs.
Configuring network settings and services such as DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
Creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts.
Managing user permissions and access controls to ensure data security.
Implementing policies for password strength and expiration.
Continuously monitoring system performance and resource usage.
Applying updates, patches, and upgrades to keep systems current and secure.
Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
Mandatory / Primary Skills
LINUX and AWS trained with
Good understanding of different flavours of Linux, including Ubuntu, CentOS, and Debian,
Working knowledge of MySQL,
Knowledge of Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting,
Good Knowledge of AWS: EC2, EBS, Security Groups, VPC, S3, ELB, Route53, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation etc
Understanding of protocols such as DNS, LDAP, and SMTP
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
