Data Analyst - Retail

Role Overview

This role is primarily about data sourcing, not heavy analytics.

Identify and collect datasets related to:

Consumer purchase behaviour

Quick commerce / FMCG trends

Category-wise demand patterns

Retailer digitisation and supply gaps

City-level consumption insights

Validate dataset relevance (recency, reliability, demographic fit)

Extract and clean data from reports, PDFs, public portals, ONDC dashboards

Organise information into simple, usable formats (Excel/Sheets)

Build a structured dataset library for ongoing decision-making

Skills

• Experience with consumer behaviour data
• (purchase triggers, frequency, urgency patterns)
• Experience with quick commerce or FMCG analytics
• (category depth, repeat rates, SKU movement, price elasticity)
• Strong internet research & data-sourcing ability
• (finding high-quality datasets from public, private, and paid sources)
• Curiosity, attention to detail, and comfort navigating large reports & dashboards
