We are seeking a Backend Software Developer with expertise in .NET/JAVA technologies, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and microservices architecture. We are hiring for Tesco Retail Media team this is a Retail Media Network is an advertising platform owned by a retail company that allows brands to advertise to the retailers customers on the retailer's own properties and sometimes beyond.
offer ad placements on their websites, apps, in-store displays, or other channels, leveraging their first-party shopper data.
The engineers would be involved in developing a product that helps Retailers transform their Retail Media business in a way that helps them achieve maximum ad revenue and enable massive scale.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient backend systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
3 years experience from Product company
Design and implement robust backend systems and services using .NET/ JAVA technologies .
Build, deploy, and maintain microservices in a cloud-based environment, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and performance. Leverage cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) to deploy and manage backend services in a cloud-native environment.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
Optimize backend services for performance, security, and reliability.
Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions. Implement automation frameworks, integrate CI/CD pipelines, and drive continuous improvement to streamline deployment and testing processes.
Write unit, integration, and performance tests.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for backend services, architecture, and workflows.
3 to 5 years of hands on expertise in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Java and related frameworks.
Strong experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based applications.
Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), including cloud-native services like containers (Docker), serverless, and Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) and experience with cloud database services.
Experience with continuous integration, deployment, and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
Understanding of security principles, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices.
Experience with performance optimization, load balancing, and monitoring tools (e.g., Exp :3+years Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Datadog, New Relic). Strong experience in Java, C#, .net, Java and Javascript
Strong experience in using a SQL based database
Development and design of software solutions working closely with product managers
Knowledge of working in an agile fashion, such as Scrum or Kanban
Using techniques such as writing unit tests, refactoring, CI/CD
