Head of CRM and Communications

Ugaoo is India's leading gardening and home-grown lifestyle brand, building a deeper connection between people and plants. What started as a horticulture-first business has evolved into a full-stack D2C ecosystem, with our website serving as a key growth engine where customers across the country discover plants, gardening essentials, and plant care solutions. Alongside our D2C platform, Ugaoo also reaches customers through select offline (Retail, Corporate Gifting, Services & Maintenance) and marketplace channels. As we continue to scale, our focus remains on building a category-defining brand that makes gardening accessible, enjoyable, and aspirational for modern consumers.
We're looking for a Copy & Communications Manager who will take ownership of how Ugaoo sounds and communicates across every touchpoint. This role sits at the intersection of brand, content, and performance—translating our plant expertise into communication that is clear, engaging, and drives action.
Brand Voice & Communication
Ensure consistency in tone and messaging across platforms—whether it's digital, packaging, or campaigns
Write across formats, from sharp, scroll-stopping hooks to more detailed, long-form content
Content Development
Break down complex gardening concepts into content that is easy to understand and enjoyable to read
Create copy for website pages, product descriptions, and plant care guides
Performance & CRM Copy
Write copy that drives results—ads, emailers, and WhatsApp communication
Build core messaging for launches, sales, and brand campaigns
Develop strong, cohesive narratives and write key campaign assets
Editing & Quality Control
Review and refine content across teams, freelancers, and partners
Ensure everything that goes live is aligned with Ugaoo's voice and quality standards
5–7 years of experience in copywriting, brand communication, or editorial roles.
- Experience working with D2C or lifestyle brands is a strong advantage.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- A creative mindset with attention to detail and nuance in tone.
- Good understanding of digital marketing and customer behaviour.
