Job Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer with hands-on experience in building and managing data ingestion pipelines using Fivetran , Python , and cloud data platforms. The role focuses on ingesting data from multiple source systems into the Bronze (raw) layer of an enterprise data ecosystem, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Data Ingestion & Pipeline Development
Develop and deploy custom Fivetran connectors using Python for non-native data sources
Configure and manage standard Fivetran connectors for CRM, SaaS, ERP, and operational platforms
Build scalable ingestion pipelines using APIs and Python-based connectors
Data Quality & Monitoring
Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure data freshness, completeness, and stability
Troubleshoot ingestion failures, connector issues, and schema changes
Data Modeling & Collaboration
Support ingestion patterns for downstream Silver and Gold data layers
Handle incremental loads, batch ingestion, and CDC where applicable
Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in Data Engineering
- Strong proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT and API integrations
- Hands-on experience with Fivetran (setup, connectors, troubleshooting)
- Experience with cloud platforms ( AWS / Azure / GCP )
- Familiarity with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, BigQuery)
- Working knowledge of Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect)
Exposure to CRM, marketing, or operational data domains
