Lead Cloud Platforms Engineer (DevOps)

We are seeking an experienced Manager of DevOps to lead DevOps and automation initiatives supporting our cloud modernization and large-scale data platform programs.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across cloud-native and big data environments. You will lead a team of DevOps engineers while actively contributing to architecture, automation, CI/CD strategy, and cloud migration initiatives.
The ideal candidate balances technical depth with people leadership, thrives in distributed environments, and can translate business priorities into scalable DevOps delivery frameworks.

Team Leadership & Talent Development
Lead and mentor a DevOps and automation team (8–15 engineers).
Provide structured coaching and career development guidance.
Champion modern DevOps best practices across teams.
DevOps Strategy & Execution
Drive implementation of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and orchestration practices.
Standardize DevOps tooling, workflows, and automation patterns across product teams.
Build and maintain reliable deployment pipelines for mission-critical data processing systems.
Ensure scalable automation frameworks for SQL and Spark-based big data workloads.
Cloud & Infrastructure Management
Oversee cloud infrastructure operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
Lead Kubernetes cluster management, networking, scaling, and security hardening.
Drive cost optimization, monitoring, and operational hygiene initiatives.
Partner with Platform Engineering, SRE, Data Engineering, ML, and Security teams.
Track KPIs and drive continuous improvement in operational health and deployment velocity.
Implement monitoring and observability frameworks using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
8+ years of overall technology experience with 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering roles.

• 2+ years of experience leading DevOps teams (5+ engineers).
• Experience working in distributed or offshore team models.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes (cluster management, networking, security).
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions and artifact management using Nexus.
• Strong experience with Git workflows and repository management (GitHub).
• Cloud platform experience with AWS and GCP (Azure is a plus).
• Experience with Helm, container registries, and container security best practices.
• Experience working in distributed computing or big data processing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Relevant certifications (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.).
Familiarity with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark or Databricks.
Experience supporting SQL-based processing systems, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
Background in data-intensive, analytics-driven, or enterprise modernization programs.

Experience leading DevOps transformations in large-scale cloud migrations.
Experience building DevOps practices for data-heavy or analytics-focused environments.
Demonstrated ability to scale automation frameworks across multiple product teams.
