Senior Java Software EngineerAbout the role:
Brainsquare India is expanding its backend engineering teams.
As a Senior Java Software Engineer , you will design, build, and maintain secure, high-quality backend services using Java EE and Spring technologies. You'll collaborate closely with Brainsquare Belgium teams, contribute to technical improvements and support continuous delivery within an agile setup.
Translate functional analysis into robust backend implementations.
enhance existing Java/Spring services.
Write unit and integration tests; Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and communicate progress proactively.
Apply secure-coding practices (OWASP) and support a security-first culture.
Solid understanding of REST API design, JSON/XML, and strong RDBMS skills (MS SQL Server or equivalent).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, and Agile collaboration via Jira.
Demonstrated secure-coding mindset (OWASP Top 10) and practical Spring Security implementation.
Professional English communication and ability to collaborate remotely with Europe-based stakeholders.
Experience with WildFly EE or Quarkus environments.
Code quality & analysis: Familiarity with Sonar or other static-code-analysis tools.
SOAP / RMI, SoapUI / ReadyAPI, BuildMaster / Octopus, Linux basics.
Docker / Docker Compose, Kubernetes, or cloud fundamentals (AWS / Azure / GCP).
Remote-first from Navi Mumbai with daily CET overlap.
